Last week's FPU homework assignment was to pull our credit reports before tonight's class. Ever the procrastinator, I just got our free annual credit reports here. I looked up one of mine and one of my husband's.
As I was reviewing my credit report the chorus "Praise the One who paid my debt, who raised this life up from the dead!" kept running through my head. As I look over my credit report all of my past mistakes have fallen off.
Isn't that just like the Christian life? Because of Jesus' death on the cross, He has paid our debts and there are no records of our sins! If I could pull up my personal history on a website, like I just pulled up my financial history, it would show that my sins have been paid and my "report" has been wiped clean by my Savior! Fortunately, Jesus doesn't take 7 years to cleanse our "reports" . . . He does it instantly!
PRAISE THE ONE WHO PAID MY DEBT!
That is such an awesome comparison! I love it! It's like a perfect score credit report, as soon as we accept it.
